A conservation work party is scheduled for Tuesday April 30th starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Chatham farm.  Several recently transplanted trees need to be staked to allow the roots to take.  This will be a light –to-moderate activity.  We will drive 2 wooden stakes around the transplants, then wire into place with binding wire.  The binding wire will be run through a length of garden hose first so as to not girdle the trees.  This can be a perfect two man team type of work party.  Please bring your favorite side cutters and pliers for cutting and twisting wire around stakes.  If you can help, please contact Mike Kristof at 216-663-6427, or email me at maktheqwk@wowway.com.  In addition, the club has purchased 10 three year old apple trees for planting at both Chatham and the Spencer Lake Rd. farm.  Help is needed to plant these at both properties.  I would like to sprinkle some 12-12-12 fertilizer around all recent transplanted trees.

Hope to see some members on Tuesday!!!
